Some info

The Butia capitata is originally from South Brazil. However this palm crosses easy with other Butia so the seedlings can be very variable. Other common names for this palm are jelly palm, wine palm or pindo palm.

Butia capitata can tolerate some frost up to -12c° depending on it's location. Wet cold does more damage of course. They can become 4-6 m tall. But this takes a lot of time.

Some info

Chamaerops humilis or European fan palm, Mediterranean fan palm is native to the western Mediteranean region. It is mainly found in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Malta and North Africa.

Chamaerops humilis is a very diverse species. It can have a single trunk or several stems clumped together like in the photo above. An adult is about 2-5 m tall and they are quite frost hardy up to -12 C° in optimal dry conditions. However when it's wet they are less frost hardy. These plants are an ideal candidate for a smaller sunny garden.
